We are no longer accepting session proposals for the 2018 Annual Meeting and World Congress on Exercise is Medicine being held May 29 – June 2, 2018 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

If you submitted a proposal, you will receive notification on the status of your proposal by September 2017.

2018 Scientific and Clinical Case Abstract Submission

You will be notified electronically of the acceptance/rejection of your abstract/case in February 2018. This notification will include the date and time of your session presentation as well as the type of presentation, if accepted.


2017 Late Breaking Research Abstract Submission

ACSM will again offer a late breaking submission for research abstracts between February 15-March 1, 2017. These submissions will undergo review by members of the Program Committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters in the Poster Hall on Saturday, June 3rd and the abstract’s first author must be present at the designated time and place. The cost of late breaking abstract submission will be $250 and limited to the first 50 submissions. The submitter will be required to write a statement indicating the reason the research is late breaking.

2017 Sports Medicine Fellow Clinical Research Abstract Submission
Deadline was March 1, 2017 (for those submissions from a physician in a Sports Medicine Fellowship Program)

Sports medicine fellows (those in an accredited sports medicine fellowship program) will be allowed to submit research abstracts between  February 15 – March 1, 2017. Research abstracts can be submitted for acceptance by having an ACSM Fellow sponsor the abstract.  Abstracts without sponsorship will be reviewed by members of the ACSM Program Committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters in a special area of the Poster Hall on Saturday, June 3rd, and the abstract first author must be present at the designated time and place. The cost of abstract submission will remain at $35.
